"Don't come to me for nice pictures, assuming that there must be something
wrong with me for painting these images. As an artist, my job is to reflect on
the declining culture we live with everyday. If my work bothers you, it's
because the lack of numinosity in our culture bothers me."
1979 – Begins five-year period of Life-Drawing Workshops at the Southwestern School of Art, Albuquerque, NM. 1982 – Marries first husband Carl Love, thus officially becoming Beth Moore-Love. 1984 – Begins working relationship with Joel-Peter Witkin painting backdrops to be used in studio sets. 1986 – Takes up residence in San Francisco. 1987 – Begins highly influential friendship with artist Monte Cazzaza, working on several projects together. 1988 – Runs the Force-Nordstrom Gallery with Kris T. Force, on Market Street in San Francisco. 1989 – Televised public performance with Boyd Rice on the Charles Manson case in front of San Quentin Penitentiary. 1990 – Relocates back to Albuquerque to live and work. 1993 – Begins correspondence with eNDART, Berlin 1994 – Personal catastrophe sparks important breakthrough in present works. 1995 – Travels extensively in Europe, painting and exhibiting. 2000 – Currently lives and works in Albuquerque New Mexico.
